Scar/adhesions from injury, certain diseases, or surgery can been significantly improved with MPS Scar Release therapy. The term ‘release’ refers to releasing or relaxing the contracted and tightened fascia tissue. Since the body’s fascia system is interconnected all throughout the body, a restriction or adhesion in one area will often affect other areas and can result in compensation patterns, guarding and pain. When a scar has been released there is no longer a restriction in the flow of energy, blood circulation or lymph drainage. The body can then complete the healing process. Fortunately, releasing the scar can yield powerful results, which can improve mobility, restore function, diminish complications, and decrease pain often associated with deep scars. MPS (Micro-current Point Stimulation) is the method used to release scars and is especially effective in treating large, deep, old/new, and painful scars.
HOW IT WORKS
Micro-current probes are used on the tissue surrounding the scar, which creates a healing or inflammatory response in the body. After treatment the dead cells and fibrous scar tissue are broken down by the body, circulation is increased to the area, and your lymphatic system goes to work to carry away and excrete the dead cells. After treatment you will see visible changes in the appearance of the scar and gradually will notice a reduction in the tightness and restriction felt at the site of the scar. Duration of treatment will depend on how long you have had the scar, how deep it is, and the severity of any pain you may be having. So no matter how long you have had your scar - there is no expiration date on scar release.
MPS has helped a Vietnam Veteran regain the use of his leg, some forty years after a multiple gunshot injury.
Equally, burns and scarring from childhood have been successfully released, with accompanying beneficial results, several decades after the time of the injury.
